eCRM for retailer

For one of the major Danish banks, Presys is developing a sales system for retailing based on intranet and extranet. Later, parts of the system are to run via the Internet. The system is designed for the entire sales process from choice of model and equipment, order processing, pricing, financing, and credit rating to the preparation of the final contract. The system includes document handling, case work and case management. The documents are forwarded to the Danish Central Customs and Tax Administration. Models, equipment etc. are to be entered into the system as a stock control system by the importers to prevent salesmen from selling non-compatible spare parts. Furthermore, the stock control system manages times of delivery. The system is based on WebSphere, which is to be integrated with Domino and DB2. Presys handles project management including time estimates, architecture, analysis, design, programming and testing.



Further development of the telephone network product

Presys has participated in the further development of the telephone network product of an international producer of wireless equipment. Presys has primarily taken part in the development of the managing part of the product. The managing part, running on HP-Unix, is based on WebLogic servers, CORBA for old back-end systems, and Oracle database.


Development of games and infotainment for mobile phones

Presys participates in the development of games and infotainment for mobile phones (SMS and WAP) and teletext for a quick-growing medium-sized company. The development takes place in Java on a CORBA-based framework, and data are saved in an Oracle 8i database. Each game runs as a servlet on a Sun Solaris server. It is possible for each operator to monitor its services via a JSP-based interface.


Optimization/faultfinding of major WebLogic installation

Presys has performed stress test and optimization of the Java software as well as of the WebLogic installation for the European website of a large international multi-medium company. The installation included several web servers and WebLogic servers with a replicated Oracle database as data layer. The website is expected to have app. 50,000 daily visitors from all over Europe.


Credit Score System

Presys has designed and developed a credit score system for the accounts department of a national company. The system is capable of handling app. 200,000 credit customers and is 100% browser based. This system facilitates a homogeneous credit estimate of customers all over the country. The system has interface to data from Dun & Bradstreet as well as access to online credit reference with RKI (a Danish credit rating agency). Furthermore, credit establishment is designed to facilitate acquisitive use of the system for the sales representatives of the firm. In this way a new customer credit can be established in no time. The system has several reference functions that ease the creditors’ access to information on a certain customer’s credit-worthiness. And all this just by means of a browser connected to the intranet of the firm. The system is created in Enterprise JavaBeans, Servlets and JSP- pages against web server with data access via Bea Tuxedo Server.


Components for communication with Tuxedo server

For a major danish company, Presys has developed components for communication with a Tuxedo server. These components make it possible to call Tuxedo Services as though they were part of a true object-oriented system – despite Tuxedo’s function-oriented way of working. The components are supporting Tuxedo 6.3 services, but they are easily adapted to older versions of Tuxedo – as well as to future versions. The development and the components are written in Java, using UML as documentation.


e-Transportation system

For a large Danish company, Presys has participated in the development of a transportation system, which makes it possible for small and medium-sized firms to send parcels through the ordering of labels on the Internet. It is possible for customers to monitor the current status of the parcels via mobile phones. The system is based on WebLogic, which is to be integrated with Oracle.


e-Personalizing

In a working relationship between two large Danish companies, Presys has participated in a project providing us consumers with the possibility of entering a service that controls which direct mail to be delivered in our mail box. Thus it is possible for us to decide which ads we would like to receive - just by ticking the subjects of interest. The system is based on WebLogic, integrated with Oracle.


eCRM for insurance company

For a large American insurance company Presys has developed an insurance system based on intranet and extranet. It is a customer management system, which is capable of handling businesses, contacts, addresses, locations, commission, history, and a pipeline function for orders. Presys has provided consultancy services about choice of application server. The system is based on WebLogic and Oracle. It is integrated with Damgaard’s Axapta. Presys handles project management with time estimating, architecture, analysis, design, programming, and test.


TV Portal

For a Danish company Presys designed and developed the controller of a portal, which is used by six Portuguese TV stations. Presys specified the architecture, including the set-up of the interfaces of the various components such as chat rooms and e-mailing. Presys assisted the suppliers with the programming. The system is based on Inprise Application Server and Oracle.


Order and staff management via the Internet

Presys has increased the productivity of the sales department drastically by the development of a new integrated order, staff, system, and time planning system called OMSI. OMSI is a multi-tier application. Some of the user interface is Notes/Domino. Notes/Domino clients work as thin front-end clients, who, through CORBA, communicate with the business application itself, which is running on an NT server and uses Oracle8 as database. The business application is developed in Java and Delphi.


Sales management system for retailer

For a large international Danish company, Presys has developed a centralized sales management system. Through this system, everything concerning sales is registered: sales work, time table / calendar, activities, subsidies, orders, replacements, time consumption, distribution, display of goods, budgets, reports etc. This provides the managers with access to information necessary for strategic planning. For the salesmen Presys had developed a decentralized version of the system, which on a daily basis is updated with the central system. Today the system is used by consultants within the hotel and catering industry and in the retail trade, and other industries are expected to join in.

Size: Presys was in charge of the development, which took three man-years.

Tools: PowerBuilder, Delphi, SQL and UML. The system is based on MS_SQL. The replication of the SQL databases as well as the data communication is developed by Presys.

Two developers were assigned the task and they are also responsible for the maintenance.



Sales and logistics system

For a large international Danish company Presys has developed further an integrated sales and logistics system, including order, billing, stock, which was sued in all of its branches including those abroad. The system has integration with the customer’s financial system.

Database system for Danish underground

For a large Danish semi-public research company Presys has developed a data base with information on the Danish underground. Presys has developed a new version of the customer’s previous system. It has been re-adjusted from DEC RDB to Oracle8 as well as from the terminal-based user-interface software of VAX/VMS to a more graphic-based software on Windows NT platform.

Size: Presys was in charge of the development with one developer on the task, which has taken 3 months

Tools: Delphi 4.0 on an Oracle 8.0 platform.



Sales management system for the car industry

For a large international financing company, Presys has assisted in the development of a sales system for the car industry. The system can be used by car retailers for the entire sales process, from choice of model, original equipment, pricing, financing and credit rating to the writing of the final contract. It is possible for the importers to tick models, equipment etc. for the system. A minor part of the financing system is converted into I-commerce. The system can generate documents, which can be exported to Word. Presys is only responsible for the Internet part.

Checkout terminal system

For a large Danish/international manufacturing company, Presys has perfected a checkout terminal system, which was used in all the outlets of the company in Denmark as well as abroad. By means of a database engine, Presys re-organized the database without change of program software.


Planning system for the car industry

For a medium-sized Danish firm of haulage contractors Presys has completed a planning system for bus traffic. Presys took over the system from another consultancy. The system manages everything concerning the planning of bus traffic from receipt of order, distribution of carriages via fax, driving schemes, resource planning/management of carriages and drivers, price management and invoicing. Presys changed the system from Paradox to Oracle due to the large amount of data. Then Presys optimized the Oracle database so that the system now runs faster than it did with the Paradox databases, despite considerably larger amounts of data.

Video monitoring system

For a medium-sized Danish firm, Presys has developed the software of a video monitoring system, which is used by a Spanish and Belgian bank. The system is installed to monitoring cameras in places such as banks. The shots from these cameras are saved in a local PC, from which the shots can be transferred to a central and saved in a database for later processing. This, of course, is useful in connection with bank robberies. The system will be developed in such a way that it is possible to configure it in the bank by means of a lab-top PC.

Size: Presys was responsible for the development, which lasted app. 6 months.

Tools: MS Visual C++ (including MFC, ATL, DCOM and STL), ODBC, SQL, SQL Server, InterBase, dBase, and UML.

Pension fund system

For a large Danish insurance company, Presys has developed a total pension fund system. The system handles all phases from premium calculations, quotation estimates, registration of new insurance contracts*), transfer of data to the Central Customs and Tax Administration, integration of Concorde for print of statistic figures and standard letters. Today, the system is available in a DOS version. Information about the insurance products*) is stored in Oracle 7.3.

Medical measuring equipment

For a subsidiary of one of the most successful manufacturers of medical equipment, Presys has developed a Windows-based program for handling measuring data. The medical equipment will be exported worldwide. The medical system comprises analysis and evaluation of nose geometry as well as snore and sleep examinations. Calculations are made on the basis of the collected data. The results of these calculations are shown in a plain layout. For the use of later comparisons and documentation for operations, the results are saved in a database. The database can be manipulated in a browser-like interface, which makes it easy to copy and compare results from several different examinations.

Pressure measuring equipment for marine engines

For an international German firm, Presys has developed a Windows-based program for the handling of measuring data from pressure measuring equipment in marine engines. First measuring data are collected, whereupon they are analyzed. Both the collection and the analysis are made on-line and on an ongoing basis, so that cylinder pressure and cylinder effect are always available.

Sales catalogue on CD-ROM

For a large Danish electricity wholesale business, Presys has developed a sales system with descriptions and pictures of all the articles of the business. Dealers of electrical appliances, hardware dealers etc. can order the requested articles from the wholesaler via the system, which is on a CD-ROM. Presys has also developed a system that can convert the old catalogue pictures and descriptions into a Paradox database on the CD-ROM.

Embedded systems for label application management

For a large American company, Presys has developed embedded systems for the management of label application. The machines are sold worldwide. The systems are integrated with the paper length* management of the machines. Windows-based solutions for the setting-up of labels.

Project management tools

The project management systems Kingpin and Playmaker have been sold to more than 100 firms such as DSB, Novo, the Navy Department, FLS, Danisco, GN Store Nord, NLP (Swedish engineering firm), shipyards, universities, DTI technical schools, and R98.
